Stealth WPC-525F being run over by a pickup truck. |
If you are a bit clumsy or spends a lot of
time in hazardous area, then Stealth is perfect for you! The new Stealth
WPC-525F computer is water-proof with a case strong enough to handle being run
over by a truck.
It can withstand liquids, chemicals, dirt
intrusion, or being completely submerged in water. The computer is so quiet
because it does not have any fans and it has a solid state drive minimizing the
amount of moving parts. The casing also provides a lot of protection and Stealth
WPC-525F only relies on the metal casing for passive cooling.
Another advantage is that it will fit almost
anywhere with a dimension of 25.8 x 15.8 x 5.2 cm. In addition to its portability,
three images on Stealth's website show the computer being run over by a pickup
truck, thus labeled "Rugged, tough".

WPC-525F may be weak in terms of hardware perspective;
however, it is enough for doing most of the essentials with an Intel Dual-Core
D525 Processor which runs at 1.8GHz and a 4GB RAM. It has an onboard Intel
Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, 120GB solid state drive, and an Intel ICH8M
chipset.
On top that, it has
an Ethernet controller and it is upgradable; with two PCI-E internal slots. Stealth WPC-525F comes with a number of attachments; including VGA, USB LAN ports.

WPC-525F uses watertight "bayonet" connections, which means, you will
need to use the provided cables to attach your accessories.
